About Drapery & Upholstery
The treatment that transforms the room.
Drapery & Upholstery represent the most personal expression of a room's character. Custom drapery does something that no other window treatment can: it changes the perceived height and scale of a space. Panels hung from ceiling to floor — even on windows that don't reach the ceiling — make the ceiling feel higher and the room feel more generous. At Wallpaper Elegance, we've been crafting bespoke drapery for Las Vegas homes since 1992.
The difference between custom drapery and ready-made curtains is significant. Off-the-shelf panels come in fixed lengths, limited fabric choices, and standard header styles. Custom drapery is made to your exact window dimensions, in the fabric you choose, with the heading style that suits the room — pinch pleat for a traditional character, ripple fold for a contemporary one, grommet for a more relaxed aesthetic.
We work with a curated range of fabrics — from linen and cotton to velvet and sheers — in weights appropriate for different applications. A bedroom might call for a heavy, lined panel that blocks light and adds warmth. A living room might benefit from a lightweight linen that filters light softly. Our Design Concierge team will guide you through the options based on what the room truly needs.
Upholstery services are available alongside drapery — headboards, ottomans, window seats, and other soft furnishings that benefit from the same considered fabric selection process. When you're designing a room with intention, coordinating the drapery and upholstery fabrics at the same time produces a result that feels genuinely cohesive.
For clients who want a complete design experience, our Design Concierge service coordinates wallcovering, window treatments, and soft furnishings into a unified whole — the approach that produces rooms that feel crafted rather than assembled.

Styles & Options
Custom Drapery Choices
Pinch Pleat
The classic heading style. Fabric is gathered into neat pleats at the top — formal, structured, and timeless. Works in traditional and transitional rooms.
Ripple Fold
A contemporary heading that creates soft, even waves across the panel. Clean and modern — the choice for minimal interiors and large windows.
Grommet Top
Metal rings at the top of the panel through which the rod passes. Casual and accessible — works well in informal living spaces.
Fabric Selection
Linen, cotton, velvet, silk, sheer, and blended fabrics. Weight, opacity, and texture are all considerations that affect both the look and the function.
Lining Options
Unlined for a casual, light-filtering look. Lined for body and light control. Blackout lined for bedrooms and media rooms.
Upholstery Coordination
Headboards, ottomans, window seats, and other soft furnishings can be fabricated in coordinating or matching fabrics for a cohesive room.
