Venetian blinds have endured because they do something no other treatment does quite as well: they let you angle the light. Tilt the louvers toward the ceiling for a soft, diffused glow. Wood venetian blinds bring an organic warmth that reads as a material choice rather than a functional afterthought — particularly well-suited to rooms with natural wood furniture or hardwood floors.
Faux wood blinds are the considered alternative for Las Vegas homes. Real wood can warp in environments with significant temperature swings or direct sun exposure. Real Wood vs. Faux Wood
Real wood has authentic grain and warmth. Faux wood is moisture-resistant and more dimensionally stable in Las Vegas's climate — often the smarter long-term choice.
Louver Width
1" for traditional, 2" for transitional, 2.5" for contemporary. Wider louvers mean a cleaner look and better view when open.
Light Angle Control
